Artist statement:
Matt fell in love with the natural world around him while camping and fishing with his father. At an early age God put a dream in his heart to become a professional photographer.
After being inspired to purchase his first camera in 2014, there was no turning back. Matt has been shooting as often as possible ever since.
As an artist, Matt has invested over a decade in to honing his craft. He spends countless hours working to create the highest quality images possible. Though equipment is important, it’s second to the intimate understanding of light, composition, and post-processing that only come from devoted study and practice.
Matt’s aim is to bring the beauty of nature into modern life where it’s too often overlooked. Pursuing the immense and captivating beauty of creation has helped Matt ground himself, reduce depression and anxiety, find hope, and connect to God. He hopes his images will impact others the same way.
Opposition to truth cannot be excused on the basis of ignorance, because from the creation of the world, the invisible qualities of God's nature have been made visible, such as his eternal power and TRANSCENDENCE.

Do you take commissions?
Yes, I'm currently booking commissions. I love creating custom images for clients and feel inspired by the landscapes they introduce me to. Reach out to discuss rates and scheduling.
